ST16 Screen Display

I've noticed since I've done all the updates that on the one ST16 I currently still have working is that many times when I power up the system and the camera engages, I get a white screen with the home pointer (purple), and when I go into general settings, at first all's I was getting Google street maps, not terrain or satellite. I should tell you that I was at a new location when this occurred, but when I got back home here, it still did it for about an hour.

Now it seems I can get all three - street, terrain, satellite - and I wonder if it's because I didn't calibrate the drone at the new location (>30 miles up the road). If so, my bad. If not, has anyone else had this happen?
