Sun Shield for ST16

Like many of you looking at the monitor outside is not ideal. I made this one piece sun shield that attaches to Yuneec's sun shade.
It's made of stainless steel .018" thick. Sanded and painted in dull black.
Now I can see the video without any glare/reflection.
I had no issues with radio wave signals bouncing off causing disruption.

Thanks for the tip. I ordered one. After reading more, I found the ipad mini Hoodman is a perfect fit for the ST-16 existing sun shade so that's on it's way.

Never had any real issues with non reflective film fitted to St16 screen and the standard shade, perhaps it's the UK weather!

The sun here is intense, I don't think non reflective film would help. I use to live in Europe when I was a kid, all I can remember is rain, drizzle, and more of the same!

There’s is an elastic flap on the back that makes it easy to access the screen

I have not had bad glare issues. I get it close to my face if it is bad. Works well for me. Other folks may not like it.

Standard shade for me too. Works well given our weather

What I made I don't need to fit it close to my face, and with my hands I have same access with the Yuneec shield.
The angle keeps any glare away. I don't see the sky, my face nothing above.

looking down, you do not see reflection of the sky nor me. I should have taken off the shield to show the difference.

And it doesn't affect GPS? That big flap on top Its quite easy to block on ST16.

No issues with GPS, I have now flow this over 40+ minutes. No interference at all.
I've flown with it over water also
