Just noticed when flying my H today (havnt flown in a few) that the green arrow/triangle/ pointer points toward the controller, and on the H+ points away from the controller ? Was there a reason for the switch ?

If the controller is close to the drone, the GPS does not have the accuracy to get the placement and thus, direction correct. Once they are about 20 feet apart and you have good GPS, the Heading Indicator should become somewhat reliable and get even more so as the distance increases.

This was at a distance it was the different orientation difference H points back at the controller. and the H+ points away from the controller, they are opposite of one another

Yes they are different, on the H, the pipper is showing direction to the controller as if you are sitting in the aircraft: pointing straight down means the controller is behind the aircraft 180 degrees and straight up means the controller is straight ahead of the aircraft's current position and so on.

On the Plus, think of the controller as the center of the Radar scope and the pipper IS the aircraft with it's true heading and distance displayed.

On the H to go home, Yaw one way or the other till the green arrow points straight up and fly straight ahead.

On the Plus, yaw until the pipper is pointing at the center of the scope and fly straight ahead.

On the H Plus you will see a north indicator at the top. The direction of the arrow is relative to north. When you know where actual north is relative to your transmitter you will be able to determine the direction of your aircraft. A little hard to get used to at first. It is not an attitude indicator and found on other brands.
