Good morning, so I've had my H920+ w CGO4 for about a month now and after a few modifications it's a pretty decent rig. Definitely never was worth the original MSRP tag of $6k+ but there are a few sellers on eBay right now liquidating the last of them for around $2k which is about an accurate value. Couple things to those considering this rig however... The stock antenna system is a joke. I live in a suburban neighborhood with a fair amount of RF noise but not overwhelming and I was barely getting 1500 feet before losing all 3 signals (2.4 RC link, 2.4 telemetry link and 5.8 video link). I ordered the Itelite DBS system for the transmitter (@$100) and relocated the 2 2.4 antennas on the aircraft and actually just reused the 2 antennas from the transmitter for external mounting (see pic) and I've managed to triple my original range, so problem 1 solved. Problem 2 is the battery situation. I'm curious if my fellow H920 owners have had this issue: I charge all 3 Yuneec 4000mAh 6s packs, check all individual cells voltage, everything looks good but after only 3-5 min of flight I begin getting the red low voltage warnings on the radio? I realize the stock batteries only have an 8c rating so they will have a pretty harsh voltage drop under an acceleration load so I usually ignore the warning and just watch my time in the air, but it gets annoying constantly getting the red warning so I decided to try some different lipos with a higher C rating. It was very difficult to find some that fit. I finally came up with 2 SMC 6s 5000mAh 90c packs (3 won't fit). They were hard shell packs and I had to crack them open to fit (see pic). I just made a 1 piece brick. What other packs have you guys tried?
