Typhoon H Battery beeping

A friend just received his Typhoon H yesterday and last night we were charging the batteries. We inserted the battery in the charger and 10 minutes later it began to beep anoyoingly... very short beep but almost every 30 seconds or 1 minute. The flashlights where swapping between green and red.
Is this normal?

You mean the charger was beeping, not the battery, right?

They do that when the battery is not seated correctly. Read the instructions...

Yeas, the charger. Thanks for the advice.

This happened to a new battery a few months ago on it's very first charge using the stock charger ( I always use the stock charger for at least the first charge). I thought that it wasn't seated and did my best to ensure it was seated properly. However, on subsequent charge cycles it was O.K. A 'first time' gremlin, then.
