Hi All. I have had a Typhoon H since then first one came out. Used it back in the day when I worked in the field in a AG Tech roll in CA and it had served me well. Long story but it was in storage for years but when I moved to NV I broke it out to see what was what... Charged up the controller and the drone battery and all seems well. Fired up the ST16 then the drone and the standard noises of the fans and the drone tones where heard. But then the drones flashing blue tail light went solid. I looked on the controller and only the camera was Listed. When I went to shut down the drone to try again the power button on the top does nothing and I had to pull the battery... I have tried several times to bind the controller to the drone (following the H binding steps) but it never comes up as an option and the light stays solid blue. on the back (problem I'm sure) I have no local shop in the Carson area I can find to check it out and i cant find any documentation telling me what the solid blue light means... Any thoughts?

... Any thoughts?
Not many. Solid blue is not a listed LED code for the Typhoon H. One thought is that the LED board has a problem. That though doesn't seem to match up with having to pull the battery to get a shutdown.
It may help to remove the top shell, pull the FC board off and reinstall it a couple times.

1.) Have you tried connecting to the GUI? If the board is damaged, that probably will not work, but if it does it may reveal the problem.
2.) Does the rear LED stay blue if the drone is started without the controller powered on?
3.) Have you checked the battery with a multi-meter AFTER an attempted start?

Does the aircraft power up as soon as you install the battery or does it remain off until you hold the power button in until the power tones finish?

If you leave the ST16 off does the status LED continue to flash blue?

By tilting the aircraft forward and back 2 or more times does it ever go into bind mode with status LED blinking orange?

Agree the solid Blue is not listed any ware, ODD.

1.) No not sure what that is (GUI) new to this but probity have the skills. I have all the cables that came with the drone.
2.) Yes it does. No mater if the controller is on or off the power up of the drone revels a blinking blue the it goes solid and stays there.
3.) No but I will ...

No it does not start up with the install you have to push and hold the power button.
ST16 on r off makes no dif.
No tilting to get it to Bind mode does nothing .

The GUI is the "Graphical User Interface" to allow you to see many issues on the Typhoon H.

However, there is no GUI for Typhoon H Plus. And I just noticed a possible posting error. You identified your craft as Typhoon H. And some of your description would apply more to an H. But you posted in the Typhoon H Plus section of the Forum. The issue you describe sounds unfortunately more like an issue that occurs on an H Plus.

Please confirm which drone you have:
The Typhoon H will likely have a CGo3+ camera. The Typhoon H Plus will likely have a C23.

The Typhoon H Plus has the word "Plus" added to the nose label and the "H" icon is in red.(See Image below)

The Typhoon H has smaller motors. The top of the motor mount is slanted up.
The Typhoon H Plus has heavier motors with a flatter top on the motor mount (See Image below)

The Typhoon H ST16 has visible screws around the gimbal mounts.
The Typhoon H Plus ST16s is labeled as ST16 by Yuneec in error. The ST16S has no visible screws around the gimbal mounts. (See Image below)

Sorry it is a H not a plus... Should I move this conversation to that forum?

It is moved to the Typhoon H Forum now.
The Typhoon H GUI can probably be downloaded from Dropbox by clicking on the download arrow.
If the link does not allow download, let me know.

The GUI runs best in compatibility Mode for Windows 7 or 8 and when run as "Administrator".

Edited to a link for the latest version and added compatibility discussion.
