Using an ST16 to control other aircraft

Hi guys, has anyone successfully used the ST16 to control anthing other than a Yuneec aircraft please, I have just invested in a Poweregg for a bit of light hearted entertainment and love the aircraft but hate the controller and would love to fly it with the ST16.

From what I've read it's a no, only Yuneec products can be operated by the ST16.But I stand corrected if not!

In theory it might be possible but its implementation will need extensive expertise and is not simply done by swapping the receivers. You might even need to change some code.
