I have been filming in 4K for a few months but last weekend switched to 1080 p 60/s. I have been able to view and edit the 4K files with no issues, I do get a warning about FCP not liking the 4K but it works. But when I try and work on the 1080 files it drops frames, shudders, and just won't render properly. Even when I just play the file with QuickTime it acts up, and gives a strange option where it has lines on the bottom that change the speed of the playback. Does anyone have this issue when trying to work with files shot at 60 frames per second? Anybody using FCP have issues or success with FCP?

Jim

Well I ran the file through a program called Smart Converter, then I had to open in QuickTime and slide the clip speed bar to the end and then save, now FCP will edit it. A bit of a pain, but it works....

I was going to suggest either Freemake converter (IBM) or Smart converter (Mac.) Done.
