I have a yuneec H520 with a CGOet thermal camera. every time I change the emissivity or the atmospheric temperature. it change to 575.6 F. I can not change it back. I do not understand what I am doing wrong. Can someone help me with this issue.

Guys thanks for your time. I really need a solution for this issue. I have try to contact customer service and I do not receive and answer. I am so disapointed at this company.

The settings are in DataPilot. They start on page 40 in the attached User Manual. @chascoadmin may also be able to shed light on this matter.

Have you tried getting help from the place of purchase? Many dealers have their own support staff. Please keep in mind that we are all Yuneec owners like yourself and are here to assist the best we can.

I would suggest setting a minimum and maximum temperature in the range settings. The color scale should then spread itself within that narrower range.

DoomMeister thanks for taking the time in assist me with this issue. I have read that manual already, is a really simple manual. It do not provide you with any troubleshooting or any more in detail instructions. Guys, do you know any staff member with expertise in this matter. If not this drone is going to the trash and I will not be nice with my review. I am really close to be upset.

Let me know which trash can you’ll be using and I’ll go dumpster diving!;) If not for the social distancing going on I would arrange to meet with you in person to see if I could figure it out with hands on. Seriously, I understand the frustration you are experiencing and the lockdowns around the world are not helping matters at all. I know the Support Phone Call appointment system is offline in the US. Three members that should have some experience with this have been notified in the thread (using the @ symbol along with the username) you will just have to give them time to get the alert and respond. Just thought of another that might have some knowledge on this, @Dougcjohn can you give some guidance?

Did you buy the H520 and CGO-ET from a dealer or a private party?

Do your settings last for the battery in use then revert to factory settings at battery change?

@hpachas

Could you do some screen captures from the ST16S showing what you set and what the system changes it too. Also include a narrative of your actions. It could help us and others with this setup understand what is happening.

Use the Attach files button to add the screen captures to the post.

Sorry, not allot of practical experience with the CGOET. I did have trouble when trying to locking the IR range that it wouldn't commit my values and would sometimes change temperature scales, but was always told that auto atmosphere should be left alone unless running a testing in a controlled environment or if the sensor seemed faulty as a troubleshooting step. I would really help to know some stats about your firmware and software versioning...

Have you reset the camera to defaults? And reloaded DataPilot?

I copied the original post to one of my beta contacts to see if he was aware of an issue like this or had any advice and will report back. The HW/SW versioning would be extremely helpful for troubleshooting.

Here is some stats
Update Pilot 1.6.7
Remote Control tx 0.37.0 and system 1.0.11
Data pilot 1.6.57.0
Camera ET 0.2.14A
Flight control 1.6.18
Gimbal 2.40.3

@chascoadmin base on your response it is my understanding the Atmospheric Parameters needs to be disabled. If I enabled this parameter is only to be use in control environment for troubleshooting only. it do not make any sense. If this is true it appears the software have issues. I have a laser thermometer no even the spot sensor is accurate the temperature measure by the drone is off by 7 deg. Let me know what is your thoughts.

No, it should be enabled, not disabled an manually input. That's just what I was told and it may have been specific to my use-case of building inspections and mapping. It doesn't surprise me that it's not spot on with another device since the sensor is so small and it is not radiometric.

That is the issue that I am having. I enabled the Atmospheric Parameters. if I change the Emissivity the Atmospheric Temperature change to 575.6 F. I try to correct the Atmospheric Temperature and if I try to change the parameter it will not change. I have to reset the camera to get a temperature that it may make some sense. After I do all that the temperature measure by the drone goes a wall. with readings like -62F.
I perform roof and building inspection too. This readings are wrong and my reports may get contested or I may get sue.

I am going to add this to my message I sent to them. The beta channel went dark for a while, but there has been some more activity over the recent months so hopefully I can get someone engaged pretty soon.

@chascoadmin Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate your time. Please let me know if you hear from them. Because I have try to call, email, and chat for almost two weeks and nothing yet.

For sure, I learn allot here as well as I have only been using Yuneec products for 2 years. Their inability to market well and have consistent customer service in the US (and it sounds like everywhere except for Switzerland) are the two things that are keeping them from being a force in the Survey/Construction/Inspection markets. Here's a video we did that basically went nowhere. I'm the second guy. :)

I've flown several missions and when I bring up the thermal camera, there is no variation in colors... I checked the scale and it showed 378 - 575 degrees!
When I checked the settings, the default Atmospheric Temperature is set to 575.6.
I change it, but it goes right back...
I've not been able to find a solution either... so frustrating!
