Took off the protective plastic cap of a typical 5.8 GHz video antenna used for sUAS receivers and transmitters. Very top is small wire that is the radiator which is the center wire of the feedline , below is a small metal cylinder which is the counterpoise that is attached to the braid, followed by the feedline, then the plastic body. I'd imagine this is a 1/4 wave antenna. Pretty simple design. Basically it's an antenna made from the feedline.
