British Police to use drones instead of police officers!!

Being a brit I get sick and tired of living in the most CCTV saturated country on earth.
Now this!

At least they appear to have chosen a decent drone..

Although a consumer UAV would have some uses in the field of law and order and maybe in the field of search and rescue, I'm still of the belief that those uses would , at best, be rather limited given the limited flight times that current consumer UAVs can achieve without having to land and have another battery inserted.

However, I see much to be gained by U.K. police forces in exploring the possibilities given that as the technology progresses with regard to batteries that significantly improve flight times, and better reliability, the use of UAVs will become more useful to police operations than I suspect is the current case.

And to make you feel worse I just got my Typhoon H last week , I live in California , it's an awesome drone , they picked the right one .
