Periodically we get to read threads referencing the departure of an H, Phantom, Inspire, Solo, or some other automated aircraft. Leaving all the potential causes out of the equation, we need to recognize that although they may seem to some as being too expensive to rule out such capability, they are still not mature enough to have eliminated the chance of a fly away. Fly away incidents are going to happen and each needs to be prepared to deal with one immediately after they initiate in the best way possible for the occasion. The following article demonstrates that even the most expensive and sophisticated systems have their darker moments. Many can travel much further than the one in the article. I can assure ya'll even the best of the best has demonstrated a desire to head off to places unknown. So don't be outraged if one happens to you, chit happens.
