We've all discussed the FLIR or competitive brands and the high cost of IR Thermal camera for sUAV.
The XT / XT-R range $5-12K, XT2 $12-18K, XT S proposed est below XT-R, Yuneec E10 $5-9K, EVO 2 Dual est $5-8K
All in the higher range and a large margin above the similar hand held units, which are still pricey cameras.
The upper price range has been limited to 640 resolution, range 90-640 with Stnd or Adv Radiometric.
The 640 has been a limiting cap, going higher would be extremely pricey.
This new company is proposing building a 1280x960 30fps unit at an estimated 1000x price reduction.
That roughly equates if using $20,000 as cost example... $20 bucks!

That's amazing... if their economy of scale can reduce price 1000x fold.
I can respect the development cost, R&D, marketing, etc.... but that still equates to huge profit margins in current units.
Be nice to see that trickle down to sUAV cameras.
