Out of curiosity, does anyone know a rough amount of weight that the Q500 can lift and carry? I’m interested in a Q500 to use for dropping bait from the beach while surf fishing and need to know how much it is capable of lifting and carrying…

I've been flying one of my Q500s with floats and camera for several years without any problems. Weight of floating body approx. 220 grams. Without a camera, 450-500 g would also be possible. Of course, the electronics are subjected to higher loads and the flight times are shorter, but so far nothing has burned out after 20 flights. But every pilot has to decide for himself what risk he takes. Search the forum for Floats Q 500, there are videos about it.
