Stitching photos

I found out something new today. If you upload your 360 degree photos to Google Photos; they will automatically stitch them together for you into a panorama. I found out by accident. I didn't have to do anything at all.

Yes it does. It may also make HDRs from photos of the same subject having different exposures. If there's movement in the scene it might make a lttle animation that replays.

Pretty cool. I occasionally have trouble stitching together my panos from the H. Not enough overlap and the software can't find good control points I guess. Curious how successful Google Photos will be when others (MS ICE / PTGui / Pano Studio) have failed to successfully stitch usually when over water, especially water with rolling white tides. No surprise there.

The real question for me is: does anyone know if Google Photos will stitch and/or supports 360 degree interactive panoramas like this:
