video play issue

took my H out yesterday for a short flight to film some of a parade we had for the casino...little windy but not to bad...

anyway, I recorded video for a little over 7 continuous minutes. the first 5 minutes play fine, then it creates another video.

that 2nd video wont play...any issue how to fix this

Sounds like you forgot to end the video capture before you turned off the H. The 5 minute segments is normal based on the design file size of the card formatting. The system auto ends ling recordings at the 5 minute mark and starts a new file you stitch to the first if you desire continuity.

If you don't terminate a video recording by pressing the video button to end it you will always corrupt that video. You might be able to recover it by keeping the corrupt video in the card, placing the card back in the camera and starting, then ending a new video.

You don't have a problem with the H but you might fall a bit short understanding how it works.

You may have not stopped video before shutting down the craft. Easy to fix: put card back in camera, fire up ST16 and craft. After craft and camera have connected, the cam will automatically close that last segment. Then that video should play.

a big thank you to both of you. that is exactly what happened. im hearing impaired, not bad but not great hearing lol...combine that with marching bands and first time I had to use the sun shield. I pressed the button, just not the right one. ended up hitting the still photo button...
