Was with Yuneec UK and they tested the H3 against the DJI X7. They said it’s virtually identical quality photos. Considering you can buy the whole H3 for the same or less than just the X7 that’s a bargin.

Datapilot V1.60 now live. New functions

Just updated both OTA. All worked just fine. No warnings no errors. Looks like they fixed the signature issue with Datapilot and I can now update the H520 OTA rather then the SD card which couldn’t do the last 3 updates.

I have just spoken with Yuneec UK and they haven't had this calibration issue and are not aware of a problem. I told them a number of us are having the problem so they will pass the info over to Yuneec Europe.

I couldn't get the E90 to update OTA but the ST16 updated OTA once I uninstalled the old Data pilot. I had to put the file on the SD card for the E90. I have noticed since the last 2 updates when calibrating the gimbal it completes, but doesn't show completed on the ST16. Anyone else having...

When I downloaded the file the PC changed the file to firmware (1).bin as i already had a version in my download files. I moved it and renamed it to firmware.bin uploaded to SD card and it worked. Just a thought in case you have similar.

Response from Yuneec UK regarding manuals for POI/ROI Unfortunately at this time there are no manuals for the POI/ROI, if anything becomes available we will announce on our website and social media.

The way I’ve understood it is this. The E90 will zoom x8 lossless but the ST16 will zoom x4 lossless and then x4-x8 you will get losses in resolution. I would need to do a video to confirm that though.

I have asked Yuneec UK to clarify the POI and ROI with some instructions. Hopefully I will get an answer.

Living in Norfolk UK which is completely FLAT :p I haven't been able to try this. I assume it is an automatic function once a grid is uploaded to the drone to fly. Thinking about it Im sure i saw something in the survey grid menus about terrain following. I will have a look tonight.

Yes it was but there seems to be some confusion over it. I assume that POI and ROI are the same thing and not 2 different functions. I have emailed Yuneec UK to ask if there are any manuals for the new functions. If i get a response I will post on here in a new thread.

Isn’t ROI just where the camera will stay focused to no matter where you fly the drone?

Within the settings ( cant remember exactly where, maybe general or safety settings) you can change the forward flight speed. Mine is currently set to 10m/s. This is not something I’ve noticed before. Try increasing this to 13.5m/s which is the top speed in the specifications for Angle mode...

I have updated with no problems. I did have to remove the older version of Data pilot before it would update though. I haven’t found any bugs yet and my test flight was fine. Did everything as expected. I did just turn it on and it asked me for the E90 password so I will have another test...
