Sorry to add bad news but Ive had two if these and both had exactly the issues you describe and have ended up as land fill, they are simply dreadful.

Nice part of the world, both of our two Hs are standard and apart from requiring batteries have not missed beat in 3 years of flying, they are a great platform.
