Q: Interference with other RC gear

Flying season starting up again around here. Our RC club flies model air planes and holds FPV drone races which I'd like to video from the air. Q: does the Typhoon H radio/wifi interfere in any way with the FPV gear? Last season I flew my H with planes and never had a problem, but I don't...

    RealSense eats Flight Time?

I started a thread recently about useful flight durations. I'm getting only 6-7 min of useful flight time, where others were getting 11-12. Someone mentioned RealSense and I started to wonder if my RealSense module was reducing flight times. Q: there's a check box option in one of the setup...

    Panorama problems...

Since we're talking technique now, let me tell you, I shoot 3 panos from the same location at different exposures, then stitch the best photos from all 3 sets into the final. Usually the sun burns out the sky, so shorter exposure there, for the 2 ground shots, seems like I need the longer...

Sorry, I did click your link. But I wasn't aware you could link to 360s in a full panorama viewer like that. Don

Hehe... what's really interesting in your post was you've found a way to show the full 360 here on this forum. I wasn't aware that could be done. What's the secret ? Lol - Don

    Useful Flight Duration

That's interesting AeroJ… on getting more time. I usually take it up about 200-300 then push it to around 1/3 mi away or so, take panos from there. I experimented with slower throttle to destination, to see if it gave me more usable air time. No matter what, I got more or less the same air...

    Panorama problems...

BTW, while we're talking Panos… I presume you know how to upload your 360s to FB and view them there. But I struggled to find a PC program to display & view them. FSPViewer64 was the answer. It displays 360s just like FB's augmented reality viewer. With a decently stitched Pano you can take...

RE: Stitching PTGUI is probably the best pano stitcher because you can find which markers are not overlapping (40 pixels off say) and either remove them, replace them or add more. Its time consuming but generally you can get street level lines and all buildings to line up. Then again, it might...

Was there a bit of wind? I shoot a lot of panos and experienced something like what you described, thou not as severe. It hung on one of the 18, my H in GPS mode. I looked up and saw it wobbling up there in the wind and self correcting to its GPS location. Finally it took the shot and...

    Useful Flight Duration

Do people actually fly till the 1st battery warning? I mean is it safe? I've been bringing my H back (from 1/4mi away, 200-300 ft up, no wind) at around 14.7v, but that only gives me around 6-7 min of flight time. Add a minute for vertical landing & necessary tweaking. Haha, I could use a...

Some photo edits I’ve been working on..

Love your compositing so much I may have to try that myself. I do question your over saturation on the stadium shot though. I know people want pictures to pop, but to my eye that particular one looks overcooked to the point of unrealistic. I do jack saturation on my own photos, but still...
