Sorry to hear about this. I had a near miss myself where i thought the battery was fully installed and it wasn't. I picked my H up to position for flight and the battery popped. That looks good. What I found is that there is still a bit of vibration on the camera. I'm going to look into building a custom gimbal.

Hours later... the other mount arrived. Using two CGO3+ mounts is a clean and professional look. It's also easier to hold the 1/4" for the camera.

I was going to use puck board too, but then i realized i needed something thin to attach the shock mount to, hence my two layered solution. I'm eager to see what you come up with. The best option I think is to use two CGO3+ mounts.
