You could try leaving them centred after the red boxes go green. Have you been into the test the calibration, shows you the switch positions etc? Are the switches reacting to the full range?

I had this issue after mucking around with the calibration also. Make sure both your variable switches on the back are in the centre position before calibrating. Have you ever been into the calibration menu?

The video stream can be latched on to with another wifi device, so if you had some software to identify heat signatures, then it'd be possible to alert you to that allowing the pilot to suspend the CCC program.

You should take a look at this: UAV Toolbox - Yuneec ST-16 It allows you to preprogram missions into the CCC path in preflight and then get your Yuneec Typhoon H to execute it. This means you can organise a search pattern from a map before flight.

I had issues like this when I started it up with the cover still on the camera / gimbal. Restart should clear it, but if in doubt, find a totally level area to do the gimbal calibration. Might be worth checking that your ST16 is calibrated also, you can see the output in the Hardware Monitor...

I've had that also. I tended to get it during preflight when there were not enough satellites for GPS lock. Have you been keeping your firmware up to date?

You are advised to switch off object avoidance during landing... bottom left of page 7 in the manual! Dust etc that is kicked up from the prop wash can cause your aircraft to react undesirably.

Are the two switches on the left all the way to the top on the ST16 controller?

I have a theory on this one. Have you looked at the calibration on the ST16? Keep pressing the about controller button until the hidden menu appears. In here you can calibrate all the switches. Google it first.

I have attached my tablet to the camera at the same time as the ST16, but I experienced some unusual drop outs, might be worth experimenting at low altitude before increasing the range.
