OH GREAT A DIY DRONE KILLER

Well, said, Hernandez.... and, like you said before, they'll be dealing with one very angry drone pilot!

    After 87 flights

I had a similar issue - The actual potentiometers were loose in their housings causing both the aileron and yaw inputs to be compromised by the independent movement of the pots. Sometimes flicking the stick around will allow them to "re-center", but this is only temporary. I now know that they...

    Typhoon H Crash

I don't know why you guys feed these DJI plants.......

    Longer flight time?

It's my opinion that the factory battery discrepancy is deliberate on Yuneec's part. I think that the factory charger undercharges the battery in order to protect it from the average consumer that will keep their lipos fully charged, thus destroying them. Interesting solution as I'm sure...

    Longer flight time?

... Because the factory batteries are, in fact, around 6300 mAh... this is only fully realized by using the charge adapter and a hobby charger.

    The Last Straw....

Yes, by stating that "I much prefer to just grab it out of the air", I meant that, if not precluded by uncontrollable circumstances, I'd always (all things being equal) grab, catch, or otherwise arrest my Typhoon H whilst still airborne, and not land the craft "normally", by lowering the craft...

    Battery Specs

The battery chemistry dictates the charge termination voltage, and all modern, production chargers adhere to this, so there's no way to overcharge a pack per se - modern chargers will, however, let you charge without balancing which is when a particular cell in the pack becomes overcharged due...

    Battery Specs

The pack itself indicates a maximum charge rate of 1C.... however the pack's capacity is much higher than 5.4Ah

Would Strong Radar Disrupt The H's Signals Or Electronics?

You could test the area with a cheap spectrum analyzer like the RF explorer to get an idea of the power levels on the ground, anyway. A good overload and interference test (at least for the 2.4Ghz control system of the H) would be to fly some other cheaper rc aircraft in the area and see how it...

Would Strong Radar Disrupt The H's Signals Or Electronics?

Any strong radio signal can overload any or all of the H's receivers... so, yes. Proceed with caution.

    Battery "Break In"

I'll also clarify that by 1"C", they mean 1 times the capacity of the battery - in the case of the H battery - 5400mAh (it's really like more than that, but we'll stick to what's on the packaging) - that means 5.4 amp charge rate and 5.4 amp discharge rate.

    Battery "Break In"

The hobby chargers have "discharge" and also "storage" functions. In the meantime, you'll just have to let it sit switched on on the bench and watch the voltage on the ST-16

    Yuneec CES 2017 Recap

I, for one, think that the above is great news. Batteries are a consumable and you're always buying them, so the compatibility issue doesn't bother me... I mean, you're already into it for thousands at this point, and batteries only have so many cycles on them, so if you shared them, they'd...
