The status LED is flashing red/yellow because it's trying to flash purple/white and the blue LED isn't working. RG

Are you switching the C23 camera to photo mode using the shortcut icon on the right side of the main screen just above the shutter icon? If the C23 is in video mode and the physical photo button on the left side of the ST16 is pressed a still image may be saved to the sd card in the C23, however...

Downsized pictures and videos from the C23 camera get saved to the ST16. The ST16 has a gallery shortcut at the lower right corner of the main screen. In the gallery there are two shortcuts at the top of the screen to select image or video. RG

Thanks John, any chance your supplier would make Chroma batteries? My two original Chroma batteries are shot. I'll definitely consider your batteries for my Rakon Q500! The Cameron Sino battery I bought for my Q500 is garbage. RG

The Rakon frame kit comes with a delrin compass bracket to mount the compass board under the rear of the frame away from the camera, gimbal, and flight control board. It can be seen in the second to the last picture of post #5. RG

I think the flight controller had an aneurism, the motors glitched and it just started climbing. It was still climbing during the second low battery alarm and then lost radio contact. Time will tell if somebody finds it and gives me a call. Not new to the H, this one had over 300 uneventful...
