I often read about degraded magnets on the gimbals of Yuneec cameras.
In my work I have had experiences of new magnets that have crumbled within a couple of years simply because they were not stored in an adequate environment, that is, in warehouses with a lot of humidity (>50% rh) and considerable temperature variations (from just few degrees above zero in winter to over 35 ° celsius in summer).
The advice is therefore to keep the equipment (gimbals) in temperature-controlled environments or at least with few variations, in adequately insulated containers, even better using absorbent resins (silica gel) to keep the air as dry as possible, especially for those who use drones in areas with high humidity.
Maybe this will not save our equipment forever, but will last for more years.
I'm using silica gel from 5 years in my drones boxes, up to now no troubles with gimbals: an inspection last year on a CG02+ camera, 7 years old, didn't show any sign of wearing on the magnets of the gimbal.
