Just got mine....finally. Totally worth the agonizing wait.

I had on old pelican case lying around, a peli 1610 to be exact. Long story short it fits perfectly. Didnt check to see if the original H styrofoam insert would fit as I'm using the pick n pluck foam insert.

Carry on rather than a backpack. That'll work.

Like the look of that pelican case. Time to start shopping again!

Mind sharing the purchasing link to both the case and foam

The Pelican 1610 is a great case but too large for carry-on baggage. They make the 1510 as a carry-on bag but I'm thinking the slide out handle takes up too much of the interior dimension to work out. I've been trying to find a non-rolling case that is 22x14x9 without success so far.

For either checked baggage or non-air travel without long carrying-requirements, I think the 1610 is a great choice.

I was thinking of trying this case but it is just a little too large (as I mentioned in another thread I'd have landing gear raised and front and rear arms partially down and gimbal camera removed): SKB 3I-2011-8 Custom Foam Waterproof Case

Is there enough room in that case to handle 4 batteries?
I don;t care if the case is larger, I want it for storage and protection.
