The lesson here is if you have a GPS control loss, go manual and go down.
If you're going to loose it, at least it will not be too far away.
And - of course don't fly in restricted airspace.
My only flyaway was a stock CX20 in 2014.
I could have recovered it if I had crashed it nearby.
