FAA-certified UAV operator and technician with experience supporting Yuneec platforms since 2022. I specialize in drone diagnostics and repair, software consulting, firmware support, surveillance technology, and advanced IT solutions for both consumers and businesses.

I’ve have grown familiar with both the hardware and software intricacies of the Typhoon and other platforms. Through my business, Mobile Tech Specialists, based in upstate New York, I’ve been expanding our UAV division not for commercial profit, but from a sincere desire to ensure that Typhoon pilots and the broader Yuneec ecosystem remain supported, even in the absence of a formal company presence.

My team and I specialize in drone diagnostics and repair, software consulting, firmware support, and hardware-level troubleshooting. We also work extensively in surveillance technology, custom tech installations, and IT solutions. Currently, I am in the process of liquidating assets to acquire available Yuneec stock so that I can maintain parts and offer affordable repair solutions for pilots who rely on these systems.

Mobile Tech Specialists is a well-established service provider in the Adirondack region (New York), and we are prepared to extend support to this forum’s users—including repair services, consulting, and quotes—similar to what Yuneec Skins generously offered for many years. I am open to collaborating on any initiatives that would benefit the community, and I’m happy to discuss any ways I might be of service to both the forum and its members.

Mobile Tech Specialists is a trusted Upstate, NY-based service provider offering repair quotes, consulting, and hardware support for Typhoon pilots and the broader UAV community. Currently expanding our UAV division to help fill the support gap left behind by former providers, with a focus on affordability and sustainability—not profit.

You came along at the right time!!!

You came along at the right time!!!
From talking with many users, it seems I have come at the right time. Especially to continue and respect what john was doing with Yuneec skins.
I wasn't on the forums much. Last week I was notified unfortunately due to some medical issues I cannot have the career I was hoping for in the navy. It didn't pan out due to medical issues, god works in weird ways! With that said, I personally am ready to make this my mon-sat job. Saturday for test flights!
I already have done drone repair but I would like to focus on Yuneec specifically given the quality and personal love i have for these drone systems.
I am going to be be 24 years of age in next month, so I'm hoping I can follow in Yuneec skins footsteps and also provide a broad array of different services and options for customers.

The first drone i fixed was the original 2013 DJI NAZA M LITE and since then ive worked with pixhawks of all sorts, APM 2.4 2.5 2.6 and even the pixhawk 2.4.6 I use for testing today!
I want to dive right into yuneec and provide the experience ive gained from john, and bring it to the forum. I really hope its received well. Right now we are doing diagnosis and repairs for only $50 for awhile so some people have a chance to catch up,
Right now we are starting with typhoon H repairs, I hope it is allowed since its within introductions:

Any and all help, broken part donations, and any and all questions please PM me on the forum and I will get back to you immediately

This past week I had the opportunity to take my misbehaving Typhoon H to Alex to let him work his magic. The Typhoon H sat on a shelf for many years as I did not trust it to to respond appropriately to my inputs. I never knew when it was going to act up nor did I know when it would misbehave. As I have a 520 I let the Typhoon collect dust.

In one of my many conversations with John I happened to mention my distrust for the Typhoon and I was about to discard it. John encouraged me to send it to him as he believed the Typhoon is a solid work horse and he was confident he could rehabilitate it. Having previously dealt with John on many occasions I boxed it up and sent it to him. Unfortunately, John was not able to do his thing due to his untimely death. Although I never met him personally, I feel like I have lost a good friend, a sentiment I am sure is shared by many of us.

Yesterday I met up with Alex at a beautiful flying site and I got to fly the old Typhoon that now behaved as it should. We spent about 3 hours flying our Typhoons and my 520 and talking “drones” when we were not flying. It was a great way to spend an afternoon. We also spent some time talking about Alex’s vision of continuing to serve the Yuneec community as John did. John freely offered his expertise to Alex who was very appreciative of John’s willingness to mentor him. I believe Alex has his eyes wide open and recognizes the opportunity he now has. I have no doubt Alex can and will serve the Yuneec community well and in time will be taking on the other Yuneec models out there. I ask you to give him a chance to show you his capabilities.

I have no way of knowing for sure but on my drive home last night I concluded that John recognized Alex’s talent and what Alex had to offer us. Otherwise I doubt John would have gifted Alex with his own personal Typhoon H when John was no longer able to fly it. It was special to see that Typhoon in the air, know the story behind it, and see the appreciative smile on the young man who now flies John’s Typhoon H and cherishes it.

Thank you for sharing this, it was fantastic to meet you and talk, fly, and share some stories and knowledge. I was extremely happy once you got comfortable and in the air with your repaired, now air-worthy 480. I knew it flew well for me, but that was the ultimate test. I am thankful to be able to repair your drone, and hopefully many more.
I had a great time and I cannot tell you enough how grateful I am that you trusted me with your equipment and allowed me to fly your 520, we had a blast and you showed me so much. Accessories, parts, so many different items from John, and stories that I am still blown away by.

When you first pulled up I knew I was in for a good afternoon when you said you brought some chairs! I am still amazed by all the work you do and how optimized your equipment setup is. (This man is an absolute PRO pilot). The picture attached has my drone from John to the right, and P Howard’s drone to the left, he also introduced me to those switches at the back of the battery, as an indicator.

I am thankful to be in this position and I am happy to help & fix your drone. Bless the forum with some video footage when you are flying this fall. Please always feel free to reach out with any questions of any kind!
