The best drone flying tips I can give someone is to get the JXD 509G and learn to fly in NORMAL mode before moving up to bigger drones. Also develop the habit of descending with forward flight and not coming straight down to avoid Vortex Ring State.

Yup or use the cheap drone to experience VRS and learn how to recover from it.
