I have the same issue. Unfortunately the phone holder on the controller does not tilt back far enough to make a sun shade practical in my opinion. I find a shady spot to sit when I’m flying by video feed only.

Being a truck driver parking always an issue. I park at my customers location near Anaheim on Sundays usually around Noon. I usually respond to watched threads pretty quick. I believe you can use the pm and message that way too.

You’ll only need to calibrate once, unless you travel more than 50 miles from your last calibration point. The app will save your settings for future use.
