I have a ton of the little Mantis Q drones, but I don't know the PWs. There are some main boards on eBay that I may try, but I wanted to ask if anyone has done this before? Do you get a new QR code with the new board?

The only idea is to hack the passwords. MantisQ passwords have only 8 characters and I believe that are all hexadecimal characters as 0..9, a..f.
Brute force may a a good approach:

Haven't test it up to now.

It will take something like that or HashCat (I haven’t tried it yet) to recover the PW. It is definitely linked to the MAC address of the Wi-Fi on the mainboard as Vertigo Drones had the software from Yuneec that could generate the PW given the MAC address.

A new mainboard should have the proper stickers (that have the QR code, SSID, and PW) included in the package. I would contact seller and have them confirm they are there before ordering. If they are missing then the part is not new.

I ran BruteForce a couple of times, with no luck, but I plan to keep going until it finally guesses it. lol

An additional 'password recovery tool' to consider in this instance is "John The Ripper." I don't the PW file for this (Mantis), or if it's encrypted. If so, that causes a bit more time/frustration.

Just to understand - you have a couple of MantisQ that have no sticker under the battery and at the side of the drone? Both are removed? By whom?
I am not sure who removed them. I purchased these from a Yuneec repair shop locally. I have maybe 25 or 30 of them.

I will give it a try. Thanks
