Very revealing regarding their attitude and arrogance. What is even more revealing and troublesome:
"brought a number of ex-employees from shuttered Huawei U.S. offices into DJI's Burbank location."

That suggests they are continuing their surveillance in the US contrary to their official statements. If you have seen the Frontline documentary on PBS regarding China's pervasive and massive monitoring system run by Huawei then you can understand the concern.

I'd guess they have had a few inquiries regarding those capabilities, and shuffled someone with expertise over to the states from Huawei.

Are they good guys or bad guys or just working stiffs?

Is our current government secretly hoping to have Chinese level surveillance capabilities? Or maybe these folks are here to prove we can buy their gear because it can't be done here.

No telling.....

Our previous and current government has possessed near total surveillance capabilities for a long time. Since at least shortly after the Patriot Act was implemented.
