Hi there, hope for some Q500 users even it's an old one :)

my Q500 was stored in the case upright for several month, since then it has a real strange behavior: It lifts, starts jumping up and down. Gaining some height ends in a nose direction drift. Command "back" doesn't show any result. Right and left commands result in strange movements diagonally, but extreme slow and sometimes it does simply nothing.... Had some minor hits in between, new props are installed. Acceleration sensor and compass tried to be teached again. At the moment I've no trust into the 1800grams monster up in the air! Is here anybody experienced knowing possible root causes? Otherwise there is no really future for the q500, what would be a pity.

The first thing I would check would be the Hardware Monitor in Settings and make sure the sticks, buttons, switches, and sliders are all working properly on the ST10.

The next thing would be to check the aircraft using the GUI to see if it finds any hardware issues.

The last is to make sure you are in the Angle Mode of flight. If you are in Safe mode you need to be at least 30 feet from the aircraft when flying it. See the Safe Circle info (pg 13) in the attached User Manual.
