Yesterday we announced the Sky Drone 4G/LTE Upgrade for Yuneec H520 at the AUVSI Xponential in Chicago.

The "Sky Drone 4G/LTE Upgrade for Yuneec H520" is a user-installable upgrade module to add 4G/LTE communication capabilities to the Yuneec H520 UAV.

Remote Team Mode

This mode allows you to have a pilot in the field and a remote team member controlling the camera payload remotely from anywhere in the world just using a webbrowser and an optional gamepad. Utilizing our proprietary low latency technology over 4G/LTE you will feel like being there in person.

Specialists don't need to waste time to go to the field and can leverage big high resolution monitors in an office instead of difficult to see mobile devices in an sun-lit outdoor environment.

You will be able to control all aspects of the camera and access the full resolution image seconds after - even if you are hundreds of miles away.

Dual Camera System

No matter which Yuneec Camera payload you are using, from now on you will also have an additional dual camera system on board that is independent of it. It consists of two 1080p low latency cameras - one front facing camera and one bottom facing camera.

Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Flight

The system is prepared for BVLOS modes that will become available with future software updates.

FYI, use at a minimum a DSLR with an external mic. Will make it a tad more professional and you will be able to better understand what he is saying instead of hearing muffled voice talking with a noisy background. (Just a suggestion).

I also would like to know about a Demo Flight video/demonstration to gauge latency.

Certainly sounds cool but ya, rather anticlimactic without a demo video. I call it FN without the demo ;)

Sky Drone Team: it was great meeting you guys in Chicago and see the system in action there. But I agree - a real world demo video would be great.
