Taking your Yuneec abroad

Hello Guys,
I am about to go to Italy and I want to take my drone with me.
I bought a Cabin Max backpack and wanted to know if anyone took the drone on an international flight, and if you had any issues with TSA.
If you removed the batteries or kept them on. Afterall it is just like a laptop with a battery on.

Any tips or help will be greatly appreciated.

This is a great question and great thread. I would like to know myself. Going on a cruise to Bermuda from NY in July, and then flying to San Francisco next July, so I wonder how that works as well. I'll leave that to the experts.

Just to update you on this I bought some LiPo protective bags, but I will try to go through security with just the drone and the RC in my bag. Laptops get to travel with their battery on, since it is safer because it avoids short circuit.
Although I read to some site that it is going to depend on who you find at TSA control...
