It must be that time of year. Sam's had a members one day sale on Saturday so the wife and I just picked up a new LG 65" 4K. Man does it have an awesome picture. Honestly though, I initially thought there might be something wrong with it. I replaced an old 55" 720p plasma TV which was exceptionally bright. Unfortunately the LG seemed exceptionally dim, no matter what I tried. In fact, I was so disappointed I contemplated bringing it back until I discovered the power saver function, being on by default, it actually limits the over all screen brightness. Once I turned that off, problem solved. It's very bright now.

I did the same about a year ago. Picked out an LG55 4K so I could see the full resolution. However, I haven't found a convenient way to play any video from the USB port or from my PC. But I can play the 4K movies from Youtube and they are fantastic. Anyone who says there is no difference on Youtube between 1080p and 4K has never tried viewing on a 4K TV. WOW what a difference.

Steve, I’ve been able to view direct from SD card via a reader. And it sees my 2bay SATA dock but not both partitions. This LG needs FAT32 formatting.
