Which Signal goes via Controller and which via Cellphone?

Hi, I am wondering about the Signals.... The Phone is connected via Cable to the controller, so when I connect to the Mantis with the QRcode, it is only to connect Controller and Mantis with wifi? Because of the relative high range I think, that the Phone Wifi itself is not used for Video or Control signal. Right?

PS: the USB port on the Mantis Body is only for firmware-upgrades I think!?

When you are using the controller it does all the communication for control and video and only passes video through for display on the phone. You can connect with just the phone and fly the Mantis. I don’t like virtual sticks as there is no tactile feedback.

I believe the USB port on the aircraft is to allow photo and video download without removing the SD card.

To my knowledge, all firmware upgrades are OTA.
