Is there a way to hard wire some led lights to the main board that would allow them to come on when the drone is powered up? I have not taken mine apart completely.

There’s always a way. The question one has to ask is, “is it worth the trouble and risk?”
What are your intentions? If for visibility, there are strobes and 3D printed holders for them, allowing for easy attachment to legs and arms.
Try a search using key it’s like “Cree”, “strobes”, “strobe mount”. Should pull up several discussions. Google as well.
