That's a regular fighter jet isn't it ?! :) And not one that looks like it's 500 ft from the ground !! Quick - shop him to the FAA !! Lols.

Yea, it's fighter jet out of Edwards Air Force Base, they shoot the Kern River trench all the time. 25mile straight shot. Their not suppose to, but it's been a challenge for new pilots since the 1950's

Look out for an airprox report from the pilot claiming that was a near miss, and you were 10 ft from his craft ! :D

 Not to worried about that one, the pilots know they are not suppose to be there. ;) Doubt if he even saw me, he was moving right along!

Looks like an F35A or B, judging from his maneuvering, it may well have been a training exercise. It is very likely there is an MTR or Military Training Route marked on the sectionals for that area but yeah; he may have been just under the minimums there. ;)

Looking at your video, just before he went past the point where we loose site of him he banks fairly aggressively to right - probably just looking at the terrain below.

Yup, turned his a** in for deliberately trying to fly his aircraft into a drone. The FAA will not be happy.

Yes Ty it is a training area for Edwards Air Force Base. They do dogfights all the time in the area. They fly the Kern River trench just above tree line and if they see a hiker they turn sideways so you can not
see the markings and report them which a lot of hiker's do.
