I understand your concerns for having that kind of money hanging off of a 4-motor aircraft for sure, but I would assume you would be insuring your equipment, so that shouldn't be an issue. The conversion rate issue is another problem entirely.

If your budget is $10-12k USD, why not consider an Inspire 1 with Zenmuse XT 640? It's an integrated solution, so you won't need a second monitor for the thermal camera.
