Did you go into “airplane mode” before turning wifi on? Sure made a difference with my Moto E5. Good Luck and try to schedule appointment with Tech Support phone call before giving up. Many times communication can improve things for you.

What good does extended range make when the app works only episodically? Does your phone app work consistently?? Mine doesn’t even make it a pattern of functioning. I will withhold judgement but it really, really needs to work CONSISTENTLY. Its just embarrassing...!

I did hear that after iPhone 5s all was good so I don't understand iPhone issue. The "update" I received has the drone just NOT connecting. Going to make another telephone appointment. I highly recommend you follow suit. Good Luck!! JB
