    RealSense - Builds a 3D World?

Yes, but my overall point was that it doesn't even stop you. My test was to see how much of a world it builds, and when does it consult that world that it built. I understand from the test, it only consults the world when the RealSense module is pointed in the direction of travel. Thus, if you...

    RealSense - Builds a 3D World?

I'll say one thing here... The DJI Mavic has a "sensing" capability and pitting my Mavic against my H, the H wins all the time in regards to detecting obstacles. The Mavic will happily fly right into some things the H has no problems detecting and the Mavic has some of the same issues as the H...

    RealSense - Builds a 3D World?

Yes, there is a card that comes with the RS model that tells of the limitations, strong light is one of them. It's kinda of a bummer, as it does reduce the usability of the RS module. I tried again today, about 4p and experienced about the same result. The sun sets today at 6:22 PM. So, I was...

    RealSense - Builds a 3D World?

I attempted to do my same route multiple times test yesterday, but it was later in the evening, and whenever the H turned toward the bright sun on the horizon, it had great difficulties in Smart Mode. So it was a failed test. I hope to get out today yet and do it while the sun is high in the sky.

    Binding the wizard

No, once you start with one you have to continue. The only way to switch is to rebind.

    I PASSED!

Very Cool! Seeing these passed posts makes me want to figure out mine. I'm a private pilot but have not flown for about 4 years, so I would need a biannual flight review or take the test. Debating which way I want to go as flying GA is so expensive these days.

    Reference materials for UAV flying

I didn't realize that Part 107 went over the effects of solar activity on GPS reception, or the practical application of how one goes about getting authorization for flying in questionable/restricted areas. I think what the OP was looking for is a place of practical reference, more in-depth...

I'm glad you had a great flight but PLEASE do the compass calibration. It is very easy and only takes 30 seconds. You're playing with fire and I'm sure you won't be happy when you get burned.

Anyone try Dragon Link on the H yet?

The ST16 does not have a Trainer Port, DSC Port or older style RF module pins. The Dragon Link will not work with the Typhoon.

Welcome aboard! You're in for a treat!

Anyone try Dragon Link on the H yet?

I do not think the Dragon Link will work with the Typhoon H. The port they are referring to a PPM output port, which the ST16 does not have. I think they are mistaking the Typhoon H with another aircraft. Also, you do not have access to the RX in the Typhoon H, at least not without some serious...

    ST-16 Won't Bind to Drone

Did you rock the H forward beyond 45 degrees twice to initiate the binding procedure on the H? Once you do that, the rear LED should flash a rapid orange. Then on your ST16, in the Bind page, click refresh. It should show up.

Absolutely calibrate the compass. As for a more in-depth manual, I think this is the latest: http://download.yuneec.com/manuals/manual/Typhoon%20H/TYPHOON-H-USER-MANUAL-V1.1.pdf?_ga=1.259812425.258721546.1488014010

As Bill said, the square antenna is a directional antenna. It provides greater range. It, however, is more directional, meaning you should technically rotate your body (thus your remote) toward the H. The mushroom antenna is an omnidirectional antenna so you do not have to be as concerned with...
