I think we can take brand loyalty too serious sometimes. Totally agree with use what works best for you like pat says. We're all pilots no matter what or how many different brands we use. Even if QuadBart was jumping ship I'd say good luck and happy flying it's not treason :)

Some have said that you need to frame the shot with less sky to get better exposure for the overall shot. Probably a dynamic range limitation on this cam? I'm sure a more knowledgeable member will post a useful suggestion. I like those shots btw, very nice.

That's really a bummer you've had so much trouble! I own Phantoms 1-4 and the H as much as I like it barely get used due to range/video lag and image quality. Part of my not using it is I need to use it more to trust it more and that's totally on me. You shouldn't have to hand catch your H...

Is it possible you switched to smart when the H was inside 30ft of controller and it climbed to maintain 30ft "safe distance"?

Video can be zoomed and cropped to adjust for horizon but you shouldn't have to. Check your gimbal rubber dampeners to make sure they are seated properly?

Do it all the time, even accidentally flew right into the middle of them one time while flying with goggles on. Flown P1, P2, P3 and P4 same area and never an issue for 3 years. I understand people's concern though. I think statistically you're more at risk updating firmware :) .

Haven't tried it with ccc yet just the cruise control. Not sure what the minimum speed is on ccc but slower speed seems to work better. I'll have to try this again with the camera rotating and see how motion sick it'll make me:)
