From what I am told, if the camera will not detect the card then you cannot format it with the camera. Also, for some brilliant reason the control station will only read 32gb and down in size. So you cant format it that way either. I am literally talking with Yuneec today about this exact issue.

Yes the max published is BS. I bought the bundle with the LumeCube mount and two lights, plus the tension screws put it over its max posted 500g. The extra weight came out to like 620g, and this had no noticeable detriment to flight characteristics or flight time overall.
