Top accessories to have with the Q500+

I bought blade guards and found out that not all blade guards are created equal. One bouncy landing and blade guards flopped up into the blades breaking a blade and trashing the guards. Any recommendations on guards would be welcome. Will check with Yuneec this time not ebay!

Home Mode will not Switch back to Angle Mode

It appears the updates to the quad and transmitter cured the problem. Had no issues today with home mode.

Home Mode will not Switch back to Angle Mode

FYI , Axel at Yuncee, indicates that I should go ahead and fly after doing updates and determine if problem still exists. If it does he feels the "Barometer unit" may have issues, which will require returning it to Yuncee for a recalibration of barometer or main board change. When wind abates I...

Home Mode will not Switch back to Angle Mode

My Q500 will not stop descent and return to hover when switched from home back to Angle every time even with good GPS satellite lock. Yesterday it descended too fast and I switched to Angle with full up on left stick and it continued to the ground and bounced hard. No damage. Went home and...

    Prop Guards

I live in Wyoming and no matter how carefully you land it takes a couple of seconds for the props to shut down. A gust of wind (common here) has tipped the Q up and caused a spinning prop to clip the ground or pavement and boom $7.50 down the drain. Prop guards can be worth the money where gusty...

Top accessories to have with the Q500+

I would recommend propeller guards in breezy situations. I live in Wyoming and twice now a perfect landing ended in a broken prop because a wind gust came up before blades shut down. At $7.50 a prop the $20 blade guards make sense.

Camera wires broke off circuit board

You wouldn't think so just for video, but as I understand it this is interactive and there is a feedback communication at play.

    Prop Balancing

I am new to the forum and may be doing this wrong but, Can anyone tell me a simple way to accurately balance these Q500 props. My balancer requires a through shaft with cone centering that I use on normal R/C props?? Thanks

    Another battery charger question

Anybody tried the Imax B6 available on Ebay for under $20. I just got one but have not tried it yet as my batteries are in warranty turn around. It does have a 5A charge limit so it will take a little longer to charge than the HiTech. But the price is right. It does need an a/c power pack as...

    Aeronaut Carbon Props

I just received some Maytech 1345 CF props. Haven't balanced or flown them yet. The tech at Yuneec told me the stock Q500 props are 4" pitch though. I have to fly a lot above 8000' here in N Wyoming and we kinda went in depth about air density n stuff. He sent me a download to release the 8000'...

Camera wires broke off circuit board

It was just out o the box and other damage to antenna cover and lens so I really wanted it thoroughly checked out. I had not seen any info on solder points for the wires till I found this forum. I too have a phone, (Phonetic Device) used for talking! Got my wife's old S4 that I use on wifi...

Camera wires broke off circuit board

I had this happen and sent the camera back in the Yuneec in Ontario. THey said 11.99 for repair plus shipping cost. That included some broken plastic parts on the camera. They were very responsive and say a 3-week turn around on repairs right now.
