Has anyone tried any parachute mounts to save the drone if a fallout happens? Was thinking about how I could "fallsafe" the drone and create a universal chute that you could activate with the remote.

Ok... I haven't pushed the limit on my stock batteries either, but I am getting 12-14 minutes of flight time while recording video. I have read where people are getting much less but it would be nice to add 3 or 4 minutes.

Flight time on those? 16-18 minutes?

I appreciate it! I will check out those posts! This is probably a dumb question.. but since I am kinda new to the drone world, why are our drones the one you see falling out of the sky?

We are in the process of crossing all T's and dotting all I's right now. We are in Raleigh and there is only 1 other "registered" commercial operation. Not doing any inspection work just real estate and event photos and videos... I know the FAA regulates us to 400ft, how high have you flown yours?

That's awesome! I registered mine commercially as my wife shoots video and I am going to venture into the inspection side of things with it soon. Currently in the process of researching cameras... not too happy about the lack of zoom feature with the stock camera

Thanks! I was looking at those at Carolina Dronz... I am assuming that max flight time for the Q500 is going to be around that 18 minute mark... I noticed on a full charge with original batteries I am getting about 12 minutes... do the mods add a major drain on the battery/flight time?

What batteries did you order and where? What is the fly time on the new batteries?

Did some night flying for the first time a couple of days ago... The camera (even in night mode) isn't the clearest, but still great quality... Wish it had a zoom feature.
