    Electronics Repair - Soldering Guide

If you have not been properly trained to work with surface mount technology and do not posses proper visual magnification and necessary tools and irons, I personally recommend against it. I had to send a ham radio back to its owner unrepaired due to the mutilation that the owner did to it. The...

    I need a little assistance

I guess I had the three month and did not know it. Is it easy to get a hold of CS to get it?

    I need a little assistance

I had the firmware installed for flying in and around airports and after sitting in the case for a long while I can't even get the motors to fire up in my yard. I have clearance to fly up to 100 agl in my location. The wife and I are wanting to go out on a road trip and take in the fall colors...

    LOS ?

Yes and guessing leads to crashing! It has to be Visual Line Of Sight. If you are using magnification to see your bird it is too far away. A minor head shift can take your area of view hundreds of feet away from where it needs to be. Trying to find your bird could be a lost cause if there are...

If they don't accept PayPal I would not do business with them.

    Electronics Repair - Soldering Guide

I am WS-6536(Weapons Specification) certified for military equipment. All of the soldering I taught was done under a 20x microscope. When I took the instructors course, I thought I knew a lot of what was going on. After I got there and the course started I knew straight away I need to pay close...

Been a long time since I flew, What prep do I need to do?

That's how Apple computers shot themselves in the foot when they went commercial. All of your peripherals and internal add on hard-drives, ram, etc. had to be purchased from apple and they were ridiculously over priced.

Yes I have volt meters and I checked them every so often and all looks good.

Been a long time since I flew, What prep do I need to do?

I need information like do I need to cycle the batteries? How many times? Batteries have been at storage voltage for about a year to 14 months. Nothing has been powered up since then. I know I will have to do the "Calibration Dance." I just more concerned about the electronics and batteries.

    Typhoon H officially discontinued

I bought a spare "H" from ebay and some additional batteries. I'm set for a while. Welcome to the planned obsolesce world. They expect you to throw it away and buy a new one.

    Typhoon H / ST-16 controller : Can it be re-purposed?

This is impressive research especially if it is private individuals unfunded. Good job!

Question for the Experienced Typhoon H and H+ People...

I would only fly DJI if someone gave it to me. I was flying and there was another UAV flying in the area. He watched my HPro and commented how steady mine was. He swapped batteries and took off. He got to about 75 ft and one of his props flew off. The resulting crash ended his flying for the...

GPS to stop working on April 6th 2019 ?

There was a lot of fear generated by the Y2K Crisis. My mother in law was on an oxygen concentrator machine and she was the reason all of the money was spent on the transfer switch and generator. I have been involved with computers back when the Heath Z80 was the only game in town. I have never...

GPS to stop working on April 6th 2019 ?

Y2K was a joke. I was forced to go out and purchase a generator in mid December. It was not even needed. I had to pay an licensed electrician to install an automatic transfer switch and worked just fine when we had power failures. The power would drop out and the generator would start and run...
