I'm trying to find info on the following -

1. What is the appropriate storage voltage? For how long?
2. Should fully charged batteries be discharged? If so how? (I do not like the idea of running them down, why wear my motors down)
3. Is there a balance charger out there people are using? Have you had success with it?
4. Are there adaptors for an aftermarket charger?

I found some info but this would be a good sticky thread since flying may slow down with the colder weather approaching.

1. 14.8V Storage As long as you like!
2. Yes, but only if not being used more than 7-10 days( Buy an Rapid Charger, that has a discharge function, like a HiTec 2)
3.HiTec 2 or 4
4.Yes, Carolina Dronz and others have them

wait, what? 1. 14.8V Storage As long as you like! Really??

Most of the popular chargers (HiTec included) have the default storage charge for 4s batteries at 15.2v.

What's the AMP that I should configure on my Hitec for the TH? 5.0 or 6.0?

Which HiTec model do you have?
Most of the HiTec chargers can only supply 50w per channel.
At 50w charging, you won't be able to charge a 4s battery at 5A.

I use my Revolectrix PL8 along with the MPA boards. Have done for years. I can balance charge up to 9 batteries (at 1C) at a time.
