Blade update board

Do i need to purcash and install a blade update board. Currently i have not drine problems, just wonder if its necessary

I do not exactly what you mean but if you think about a firmware update of the drone flight controller then the answer is: No.
There is no new FW since many years and if all is working: Never touch a running system...
