You do need the dongle. It converts the RC signals from the ST-16.

I would get the breeze
I have both a breeze and typhoon h pro
The breeze is just that a breeze to fly
But the best suggestion is to fly in a big field to get the hang of things!
Just my opinion that way if you hit the return to home button it will have a place to land !

I've read a lot of your posts already so I welcome the advice.

Any recommendations on a cheaper "training" drone that could provide solid performance so as not to be a waste of time (and money ;-)
