Can anyone tell me how to keep my propellers from being in my video footage?

Without more information about the circumstances that bring the props into view, we can only guess.

Under most flying conditions, keeping the tilt mode switch (upper left on the face of the controller) in either the middle or upper switch position will keep the props out of view.

Camera damage, high or gusty winds, and sharp, aggressive forward acceleration are some of the issues that can also bring the props into the video.

Just another advice: as for normal photography, never take pictures or videos with the sun in front of the camera : propellers shades will appear in the footage/pics.

Avoid using SPORT mode when you are filming.
